Octoraro District Fall Camporee
October 21st-23rd, 2005 :: French Creek State Park

Hear Ye, Hear Ye...the Octoraro District Fall Camporee is to be held on the fields of French Creek State Park, during the 21st through the 23rd days in the merry month of October, in the year 2005. Tis a medieval themed event this year, hence the strange sentences!

It has been heard that it will be quite the jolly and enjoyable event, and ye can register your troop with the form posted below:

The national Join Cub Scouting theme is now, "Race to Cub Scouting". NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon is now the official spokesperson for Cub Scouting, and Chevrolet is also supporting us through advertising and marketing campaigns.

Life to Eagle Seminars

The Life to Eagle Seminar helps Scouts, Scouters and parents demystify and better understand current Scouting advancement policies and procedures related to the advancement process from Life to Eagle Scout. Boy Scouts who have earned, or will soon earn, the rank of Life, their parents, Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmasters, Committee Chairs, Committee members at large and Troop Advancement Personnel; Eagle Advisors, Coaches and Coordinators, should inquire about bringing this seminar to your troop.

Cub Scout Literature Changes

To meet the changing needs and expectations of today's youth, the National Council has announced changes to the literature of Cub Scouting. The following document details the changes coming to the Wolf, Bear and Webelos books.

Tiger Cub Uniform Changes

As of August 1st, 2004 the Tiger Cub uniform has officially switched over to the blue Cub Scout shirt. The orange t-shirts that were the official uniform will probably "phase out" after a while, but they still make great activity shirts!
